Sculpturing

This section is dedicated to reflect my sculpturing work.

Attached here just a very short introduction :

What inspires my work:

… life itself, travelling around the world and therefore integrating in my work impressions of human beings from different cultures, food and culinary discoveries. But as well taking inspiration from our daily consumption and related products, natural and industrial materials, structured and chaotic forms … and at last the movements and bodies of dancers are an important part of my work.

Different themes are emerging out of above:

  • Women, and objects around them, their beauty – sometimes exaggerated, but always seen with a wink.
  • The marriage of different continents reflected in a face or body
  • Food format XXL or
  • the transformation of alimentary plastic containers or material into art objects or furniture.

And finally techniques I like to use:

  • wood and stone carving
  • sculpting with grid
  • clay sculpting using Raku firing
  • welding metal
  • constructions using different materials
